After studying at the Toulouse School of Fine Arts, Pierre-Jean Larroque pursued  his studies in theatre education at the ENSATT in Paris ( National Superior Institute of  Performing Arts and Techniques ).

He began his cinema career as assistant to Franca Squarciapino (Cyrano de Bergerac - Jean-Paul Rappeneau; Louis, enfant roi - Roger Planchon) and in theatre with  Dominique Borg (The blue Bird - Alfredo Arias).

He has worked as a Costume Designer since 1991, in cinema particularly  with Laurent Tirard (Astérix and Obélix on Her Majesty's Secret Service, Moliere, ... )  and with Jean-Paul Salomé (Arsene Lupin), Eric Rohmer (The Winter's Tale, the Lady and the Duke),  Roger Planchon ( Lautrec), but also designing costume for ballets, operas and plays (Romeo and Juliet, Grotta di Trofonio, Phedre, etc.).

Pierre-Jean Larroque also created the costumes of famous TV series, such as Napoleon (directed by Yves Simoneau), and D'Artagnan and the Three Musketeers (Pierre Aknine).
